October 30-th (Thursday) took 91-th meeting of Business Club’s «Dialogues» for owners and managers of business enterprises of Far Eastern Federal District and the countries of Asia-Pacific region on the theme: «Food security in Russia. Development of the market of meat products in the Far East of Russia: status, problems and solutions».

Food security — the element of national security. The political situation in Ukraine, the worsening of relations with the West, economic sanctions against Russia and our response embargo on food once again put on the agenda the topic of food security.

«The situation that has developed in Russia with the import of meat, pushing up prices. Meat processing enterprises of the Far East are dependent on imported raw materials by 90%, so in connection with the closing of the markets of USA, Canada, EU and Australia in Primorye create supply shortages of meat. The opening of the Chinese direction would address shortage of raw materials and simplify logistics. This is reflected in the reduction of transport costs, and will reduce the cost of production as a whole, but it is necessary to take into account that the final price of goods is formed taking into account the global prices«.
