«State program of the Russian Federation «Development of shipbuilding in 2013 — 2030» – the theme of the 122-nd meeting of the International Business Club «Dialogues» for owners and managers of business enterprises far Eastern Federal district and Pacific rim countries, which was held on 25 July 2017, jointly with JSC «Vostochnaya Verf».

Shipbuilding refers to the industries that have a large scientific-technical and production potential, with the ability to influence the development of technology in related industries. This is a significant reason that world’s leading countries pay special attention to the development of the marine and shipbuilding technology in the provision of active marine activities, providing significant support to the national shipbuilding companies.

With welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting asked the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC «Vostochnaya Verf» Alexander KOSTENKO thanked the participants for their attention to the subject of the Russian shipbuilding.

Oleg SIDENKO, General Director of JSC «Vostochnaya Verf», made a report in which he stressed the important role of the far Eastern shipbuilding in implementation of the State Program of the Russian Federation «Development of shipbuilding in 2013 — 2030»:

«In the Marine doctrine of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030, approved by Vladimir PUTIN in 2001, it was determined that in order to ensure national security, the construction of modern vessels to upgrade the Russian fleet: transportation, scientific research and fisheries and Maritime equipment for development of oil and gas should be carried out mainly at the domestic enterprises».

The discussion was joined by invited Guests: Sergey TSELUYKO, General Director, JSC «Shipbuilding complex «Zvezda» in Bolshoi Kamen, Yaroslav SEMENIKHIN, General Director JSC «FEMRI», Alexander BEKKER, Director of engineering school FEFU, Valentin SERGIENKO, Chairman of the far Eastern branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, etc.

As a result of execution of the program «Development of shipbuilding in 2013 – 2030» will be fully satisfied with the needs of the state and business in modern competitive domestic shipbuilding products. This will ensure the independence of the Maritime activities of the Russian Federation and protection of its state interests in the oceans, seas and inland waters.

«The far Eastern Federal district is among the three leaders in the Russian shipbuilding industry. The proportion is 15% number of enterprises, 12% the number of employees, 9% by volume.

In the far East: «Far Eastern center of shipbuilding and ship repair», the Amur shipbuilding plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, JSC «Vostochnaya Verf” in Vladivostok.

INFORMATION:

JSC «Vostochnaya Verf» was founded in 1952 as Vladivostok shipyard on the basis of ship repair workshops were created to build ships for the Pacific fleet, the naval forces of the FSB.

Over the years the company built over 500 ships for the Pacific fleet and sea frontier forces, as well as vessels for the fisheries organizations of the Far East.

The portfolio of orders of the plant in 2017 under the government contracts will be 8 units.
