In Vladivostok was held the IV international Economic Business Congress

24 September 2015 in Vladivostok was held the IV international Economic Business Congress, which was initiated by the far Eastern business community, with the active support of the Business Club «Dialogues» for owners and managers of business enterprises far Eastern Federal district and Asia Pacific region.
In the IV International Economic Business-Congress was attended by delegations from different regions of Russia, and also Japan, Korea, India, China, Indonesia and other Asia-Pacific countries and Europe. Over 350 participants representing the business community, science, education, Federal and regional legislative and Executive authorities and bodies of local self-government discussed topical issues relating to socio-economic development of the far Eastern Federal district in two plenary meetings, and continued discussion during two round tables.
Foreign participants noted high level of organization and a rich business program of the Congress with a wide range of issues.
Plenary session with welcoming speech was opened by Vladimir Solodov, Deputy Plenipotentiary representative of President in the far Eastern Federal district, who noted the importance and necessity of conducting the Business of Congress for the economic development of the region and stressed that the Congress is a promising platform for dialogue between business and government that helps to find the necessary points of growth for the entire far Eastern Federal district.
Igor Pushkarev, mayor of Vladivostok, said that the Congress is a unique platform that merges the real possibility of joint work of business and government.
Svetlana Utyasheva, Deputy Director of the Department of territorial and socio-economic development, the Ministry for Far East development, stressed that the Ministry especially appreciates the active participation of the business community in the development of Federal projects, such as the «Free port of Vladivostok» and «Territories of priority socio-economic development».
In the first part of the plenary session the report «The Free port of Vladivostok is the locomotive of development of the Far Eastern region» was made by Igor Polchenko, President of the group of companies «Transit DV», member of the governmental working groups that are engaged in the development of the Northern sea route, International transport corridors, development of the law on the Free port of Vladivostok.
Gavin Stoddart, member of the Supervisory Board, the Director of «Moore Stephens CIS» from the UK told about foreign experience of creation of favorable investment climate in other countries, and also shared his vision of prospects for foreign investors in the Far East of Russia.
Stelianos Tsifetakis, Vice-President of LLC «G1 entertainment», formulated a list of problems faced by foreign investors in the Far East region that need to be addressed.
Denis Gros, Executive Director, LLC «Industrial Park «Avangard», a resident of TOR Khabarovsk, spoke in detail about the development of industrial parks in Russia.
In the plenary session, an agreement on cooperation between the Business Club «Dialogues» for owners and managers of Business Enterprises far Eastern Federal district and Asia-Pacific countries and the Commissioner for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs in the Primorsky Krai Marina Shemilina was signed.
During the first round table, which was held in conjunction with the Ministry for development of Russian Far East, moderated by Olga Kantysheva, Vice President for strategic development of the Group of companies «Transit-DV», a discussion was held on the theme «New territory for doing business in the Far East of Russia». During the discussion, the roundtable participants reviewed the state of legal regulation, investment and efficiency for creating territories of priority development in the Far Eastern Federal district and the status of Free port of Vladivostok, as well as priority directions of activity of Federal and regional authorities to attract Far Eastern entrepreneurs to produce goods and services for export.
The second roundtable was held in conjunction with the Agency for strategic initiatives to promote projects on the theme «Best practices in creating a favorable investment climate in Russia. The advantages of the project approach regional teams and opportunities for entrepreneurs». The event was moderated by Olga Kurilova, the Head of representative office of «Agency for strategic initiatives to promote new projects» in the Far Eastern Federal district. The roundtable participants met with best regional practices to improve the investment climate, and discussed ways of their implementation in the regions of the Far East.
