Babich & Partners LLC acted as the operator of the III FAR EASTERN CONSTRUCTION FORUM / DIALOGUES 2020 project.

On February 27, 2020, on the initiative of the Association «International Business Club «Dialogues» and with the support of the Project Partners, the III FAR EASTERN CONSTRUCTION FORUM «FECF DIALOGUES 2020» was launched, which brought together more than 150 representatives of the construction business and contractors from different regions of Russia and from abroad.

Since 2018, FECF DIALOGUES has been an effective business platform that provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the leading technologies of manufacturers and suppliers of the construction complex, expand sales markets, discuss topical issues in the development of the construction industry with colleagues, establish and strengthen business partnerships.
The construction industry today, as in many others, faces many challenges — the difficulty of choosing a land plot, the quality of design and construction of facilities, a new scheme for buying apartments in new buildings using escrow accounts, and many others. But it is precisely the format of the forum, meetings and negotiations between business leaders and owners that make it possible to assess the industry as a whole, as well as its place in terms of strategic prospects, new technologies, exclusive solutions and long-term partnerships.
Andrei V. Shishkin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Planning Institute for Spatial Modeling and Development Giprogor Project, Moscow, was the leading expert at FECF DIALOGUES 2020. He spoke about the strategic advantage of the Institute — modern intelligent technologies for spatial modeling, including the formation of information design models of buildings and structures, infrastructure facilities (Building Information Modeling), as well as information modeling of urban units and urban spaces (City Information Modeling). Such information models are relevant not only at the stage of developing a master plan for the development of the city, but also its future management.
“The Russian construction industry has every chance for a quick transition to information modeling. Russia, in comparison with other countries, is in a much more advantageous starting position. Design standards using BIM-models, GIS, data transfer formats, software systems and libraries of families, all this has already been created and tested by designers and builders around the world, including Russian companies. With such a base, we can, firstly, be more efficient, and secondly, go through the implementation stage much faster.”
Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Consul for Trade and Economic Affairs, Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, presented the report “Opportunities for cooperation between Vietnamese and Far Eastern enterprises in the field of construction”, revealing the possibilities of international cooperation in the construction industry. Also, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh invited business representatives to a meeting with the General Director of the construction joint-stock company «Hoa Binh»/

Of particular interest to the participants of the forum was the panel discussion “State and Prospects for the Development of the Construction Complex of the Far East Region”. The moderator was Eduard G. PORTNOV, head of the Far Eastern Construction Holding. As experts, Vladimir V. ISAKOV, Chairman of the meeting of the Association of Developers of the Vladivostok urban agglomeration, Sergey V. FEDORENKO, Chairman of the Board of the Alliance of Primorye Builders ASO, Denis O. DEGA, Director of LABOR RESOURCES LLC, joined the discussion as experts.
The program «FECF DIALOGUES 2020» also included a session «Presentation of projects» and master classes that took place on the second day of the Forum. Projects were presented for representatives of the construction industry: composite housing construction, fire protection systems for buildings, insurance of construction and installation risks, features and benefits of natural stone, production and trade in building materials, creation of a portfolio for construction companies.

Traditionally, the third day of the Far East Construction Forum shifted the focus from the business agenda to the sports one. For the first time, corporate teams of construction companies took part in the sports festival “Tune in for a healthy lifestyle” as part of the Far Eastern Construction Forum. Teams from Renaissance Active, BIR Group of Companies and the FECF 2020 team took part in the general warm-up from Geometry Fitness, the Laughter Yoga master class, and the sports quest.

Every year, the FAR EASTERN CONSTRUCTION FORUM «FECF DIALOGUES», created on the initiative of the Association «International Business Club «DIALOGUES», acquires a qualitatively new level. The main goal of FECF is direct B2B communication between business owners and managers, establishing new business contacts, as a result, new joint projects and mutually beneficial cooperation. This year we decided to deviate a little from the usual format and introduced Project Presentations into the business part of the forum. This session is a kind of review of the construction industry trends, following which you can communicate with company representatives and find out the details of interest about a product or service.
