«The Timber industry complex of the Far Eastern Federal district: current status and trends» –

 the theme of the 117-th meeting of the Business Club «Dialogues» for owners and managers of business enterprises far Eastern Federal district and Pacific rim countries.

117-th meeting of the International Business Club «Dialogues» became a platform for discussion of the timber industry complex of the region. Where, together with experts were discussed issues of the status of forest industry, the experience of the wood processing industries in the Far East, innovative production of wood pellets, priority investment projects in timber industry complex of the region and many others.

 The timber industry as an investment potential sectors of the economy is given special attention. So, on the second Eastern Economic Forum, held in September 2016, the forest industry was devoted to a special session, where were assessed the experience and effectiveness of the creation of wood processing industries in the Far East, including priority investment projects, and prospects for the future of the forest cluster. In addition, the government has prepared a development strategy for the forest industry of the Russian Federation until 2030. It aims to systematize the processes that today accompany the forest management, to encourage investment in forestry.
